Cauliflower has a delicate and versatile flavor. It is preserved by proper boiling. A few simple tips will help you cook cauliflower perfectly for different occasions.
Before cooking, cauliflower should be thoroughly washed and soaked in salted water to remove insects and chemicals. The cooking time of cauliflower depends on how it is to be used: 5-7 minutes for a separate dish, 2-3 minutes before frying, 10 minutes for baby food. Frozen cauliflower should not be defrosted before cooking, it is cooked for 3-6 minutes in boiling water, counting the time from the moment it boils again.
Please note: the leaves and thick central stem are also edible, they should not be thrown away. Cut the leaves into strips or checkers, and the stalk into circles. Freeze them in a bag or use them immediately to make soups or stews.
