Despite all the changes, there are some things that remain the same. Here are a few rules that career experts advise everyone to follow:
Don’t eat at your desk
“Smells are stronger in small boxes, so keep that in mind when packing your lunch. Try to eat in the kitchen, break room, or outside, but never at your desk,” says office etiquette expert Jacqueline Whitmore of Entrepreneur.com.
Don’t come to work sick
“Do your team a favor by not generously sharing your viruses with your coworkers. Take a few days off work and focus on getting better. Trust me, it’s not fun for employees to read something on someone’s screen who’s sick.
If work can’t be postponed, work from home. Don’t forget to wipe down your desk when you get back,” says etiquette experts from Energy Resourcing.
